A dying bee in my backyard

I was sitting in my backyard watching this bee, wondering why it was just clinging to the outdoor furniture.  I noticed the curled wings. Later it died and fell to the ground.

I'm wondering if this is because of Varroa mites, which I was learning about at this website:
