Bikes we plan to ride

Tonight Kate and I talked about the benefits of SPD pedals. We are going to be biking quite a distance, and it will be easier than just using platform pedals.  She’s riding a Breezer Greenway (non-electric) that we got a few years ago. Everyone in my family thinks the Breezers are the most comfortable bikes.

We contacted Fuji about getting Kate a Jari, which is what I will be riding.  I’m pretty sure I’m riding one of the first, if not the first Jari frames to be built.  On the bottom bracket it is signed and numbered.

There were no Jari’s her size available before our trip. Demand is just crazy right now.  When we do get one later this summer, I hope it will come with a women’s seat. 

Could we have looked at other brands for gravel bikes, such as Trek, Giant, Salsa, Specialized, etc? I suppose, but we’ve been so happy with the Fuji and Breezer brands.  And the purpose of our trip is to have fun, something we can do with the bikes we have.

One last word about bikes.  There’s always going to be something better. If not today, then tomorrow. What powers the bike matters most.
