Bike trip in the Netherlands and Denmark

My friend Andy and his wife Diane are flying over to Amsterdam to do a bike tour. They are going to buy bikes at Kees Fiets Shop in the seaside town of Noordwjik and then bike up into Denmark.  At the end of their trip, they will either sell the bikes or ship them back from Copenhagen.

I haven’t been to the Netherlands since Velo Mondial in 2000.  But Mike Dannemiller and others have sent me photos from their trips.

As far as I’m concerned Hans van der Maarel, a cartographer and friend in the Netherlands, would be my go-to resource if I were planning a two week bike trip starting from Amsterdam.  Hans is an incredible cartographer who loves cycling.

Of course, I had to suggest that Andy and Diane visit my Greg Miller and his ceramic workshop in Tolne.

So, this morning I pulled out some old maps to send to Andy.  Hopefully he will share some amazing photos from their trip.
