Our bike ride from Ithaca to Niagara Falls
My 14 year old daughter Kate asked me if we could bike to Niagara Falls. My wife suggested that Ithaca would be a good starting point. We ended up doing a round trip over 9 days, going anywhere from 26 to 60 miles. We camped and stayed at hotels, which ever was most convenient.
Last summer, Kate did a bike trip with Apogee Adventures. She came back from that trip with a connection to the outdoors. She had wanted other kids from her trip to come with us, but finding both a parent and a child who will do this kind of trip together isn’t that common (though it should be).
If you are a parent or teen and want to do an adventure like this, let us know.
