I-95 Turnpike Bridge – Is it going to follow best practices?
I use bridges that accommodate bicyclists, and I want to see more of them. Bridges actually become a destination, not just a connection.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (Oct 14-16) of this week there will be meetings about the I-95 Turnpike Bridge. https://bicyclecoalition.org/i-95-turnpike-bridge-public…/
You might say, “Oh, that’s just an edge case…” Really, it’s not. A bridge with pedestrian access has economic benefits that extend far beyond the communities adjacent to the bridge.
Walk and bike on these bridges!
